At Airport West Early Learning Cooperative (AWELC) our Committee of Management is comprised of volunteer parents whose children are enrolled at our centre, our committee plays a crucial role in shaping a nurturing and enriching environment for all our children. Committee Roles and Responsibilities

Grants Coordinator | Leading grant applications and fundraising initiatives to support our centre programs and activities |
Council Liaison | Acting as the primary contact with Moonee Valley City Council regarding partnership and support |
Fundraising & Event Coordinator | Organizing fundraising events and other community events such as AGM, annual working bee etc |
HR Coordinator | Handling all internal and external communications. Recruiting and managing volunteers within the centre. We also welcome parents with professional or trade skills who can contribute uniquely to our community |
Your Impact
By joining the AWELC Committee of Management, responsibilities can include: - Service Management: Collaborating with staff to set operational procedures including session timings, enrolment policies, and resource allocation. - Staffing: Managing employment processes from hiring to retention and ensuring a supportive working environment. - Compliance and Licensing: Overseeing the centre's adherence to licensing requirements and regulations, coordinating with the Victorian Department of Education and Training (DET), Moonee Valley City Council, and other regulatory bodies.
