At Airport West Early Learning Cooperative (AWELC) our Committee of Management is comprised of volunteer parents whose children are enrolled at our centre, our committee plays a crucial role in shaping a nurturing and enriching environment for all our children. Committee Roles and Responsibilities

| Council Liaison | Acting as the primary contact with Moonee Valley City Council regarding partnership and support |
| Fundraising & Event Coordinator | Organizing fundraising events and other community events such as AGM, annual working bee etc |
| HR Coordinator | Handling all internal and external communications. Recruiting and managing volunteers within the centre. We also welcome parents with professional or trade skills who can contribute uniquely to our community |
Your Impact
By joining the AWELC Committee of Management, responsibilities can include: - Service Management: Collaborating with staff to set operational procedures including session timings, enrolment policies, and resource allocation. - Staffing: Managing employment processes from hiring to retention and ensuring a supportive working environment. - Compliance and Licensing: Overseeing the centre's adherence to licensing requirements and regulations, coordinating with the Victorian Department of Education and Training (DET), Moonee Valley City Council, and other regulatory bodies.

Committee meetings are conducted once a month via Zoom, making it accessible for all members to participate actively regardless of their schedules.
